The Consortium provides funding for intramural projects related to the societal implications of problems in health, environment, and the life sciences. Since 2000, we have awarded more than $1 million to University of Minnesota faculty and students. Grant opportunities will be announced in November 2012 for work during the Summer 2013 and academic year 2013-14. We anticipate two types of grants will be funded:
- UMN graduate and professional students are provided a stipend for research and writing and funding for research supplies, or funding for a program or colloquia for the upcoming summer and/or academic year. Approximately $50,000 will be available for these grants with a maximum award of $10,000.
- Consortium member centers and graduate or professional programs or departments participating in the Joint Degree Program in Law, Health & the Life Sciences are funded for research, projects, or colloquia for the upcoming academic year and/or following summer. $55,000 is available for these grants.
Specific requests for proposals will be announced on November 5, 2012. Please check this website at that time for details.
